If you’re planning a birthday for someone who loves the outdoors, enjoys out-of-the-box parties, or gets a little too excited about the idea of shooting their friends, you’re in the right place. We don’t just do those things, we make it easy. You book one thing, and your whole party is handled.
Any of our activities can be turned into a birthday party: paintball, low impact paintball, axe throwing, archery tag, airsoft, gel blasters, or even camping. No matter what you choose, a few things are always true: you’ll show up, you’ll have a blast, and you (or your kids) will go home absolutely exhausted. We consider that a win.
If you want to make things extra easy (and extra fun), you can also book one of our Birthday Party Packages. These include a t-shirt, water bottle, and sticker for the birthday kid, plus a guaranteed pavilion for your group instead of a standard picnic table. Highly recommended if you want a clear home base and a little something special for the guest of honor.
Step One: Book Your Event
Birthday parties are best when it’s just you and your group. That said, if you don’t have enough people for a private party, you can join:
- Open play paintball on Saturdays from 10–6
- Open play airsoft on Sundays from 11–5
We highly recommend booking for the minimum number of players you know you’ll have. You can always add more the day of.
Step Two: Waivers, Food, and Party Logistics
Waivers are the big one. We strongly recommend getting all waivers signed ahead of time. You can forward your confirmation email or send guests directly to the waiver link here.
You’re welcome to bring food, cake, and presents to the park (no alcohol). If you’d rather not handle food, we can take care of that too. Just give us a call at 952-892-1540 or email info@championvalleypark.com, and we’ll help you set up catering.
Step Three: Show Up and Play
When you arrive, we’ll get everyone checked in, gear handed out, and then your dedicated field commander will take your group out to play. Between matches, you’ll come back to the staging area for water, snacks, and bathroom breaks as needed.
Non-players are more than welcome to hang out in the staging area. If you want to head out to the fields to watch, take pictures, or lovingly roast your kids for getting shot, you’re welcome to do that too. You’ll just need a signed waiver and a mask, which we’ll provide for free.
Step Four: Pictures, Presents, and Hanging Out
After play wraps up, you’ll have up to an hour at a picnic table or pavilion (guaranteed pavilion if you booked a Birthday Party Package) to eat, open presents, and decompress. This often includes every 8-year-old’s favorite activity: picking paint up off the ground and throwing it at each other. We don’t understand it, but they love it.
Our staging area has two park grills and outlets, so feel free to bring charcoal and grill out. Or, if you’re a true Minnesotan, bring a crockpot. Tater tot hot dish is encouraged. Saving some for me is optional but appreciated.
Step Five: Make It a Tradition
Book again next year. Repeat. Become legendary.
