Minneapolis is an elite bachelor party city. Whether you live here or you’re flying in, you get the best of both worlds: big city energy and wilderness vibes just 15–30 minutes away.
The sweet spot? Do both.
Let’s build a Friday–Sunday plan for spring, summer, or fall.
If it’s winter… go ski at Lutsen Mountains and call it a day.
Step 1: Where Are You Staying?
Even if you live in the Twin Cities, do not stay at home.
Get a hotel. Better yet, rent a big house and pile everyone into it. A shared house wins in my book. It keeps the group together and makes the whole weekend feel intentional instead of “we met at a bar and went home.”
Friday: Ease Into It
🎤 Comedy + North Loop Energy
Start with a show at Acme Comedy Company in the North Loop. It’s legendary, intimate, and there’s food in the same building.
If you want to stack experiences, there’s even an escape room nearby. Or just bar hop in the North Loop afterward and see where the night takes you.
If you’re leaning St. Paul, hit Can Can Wonderland. Arcade games, mini golf, food, and frequent comedy performances. Afterward, head downtown St. Paul for drinks.
Saturday Morning: Touch Grass
Minnesota does outdoors very well. Get outside before the night gets loud.
Here are strong options:
- Paintball down in Lakeville (highly recommend for group bonding)
- Canoe rentals at Bde Maka Ska
- Hiking at Interstate State Park
- Walk through Mill City Museum area and riverfront trails
- Sailing lessons on Lake Minnetonka
- Outdoor climbing sessions through local gyms
Pro move: plan to grill out wherever you land.
If it’s a bit of a drive, you could attempt to cook on the engine block. I’m not saying you should. I’m just saying it would be memorable.
Saturday Afternoon: Sports
The Twin Cities sports scene is stacked.
- Minnesota Twins at Target Field
- Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium
- Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center
- Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center
- St Paul Saints at CHS Field
If your group is die-hard fans, go major league.
If you want cheaper tickets, easy vibes, and beer-with-a-view energy, Saints games are undefeated.
Saturday Late Night: Casino Mode
If gambling is your thing, Minnesota has solid options:
- Mystic Lake Casino
- Treasure Island Resort & Casino
Mystic is closer. Treasure Island is more of a trek but often has strong entertainment lineups. Even if you’re not big gamblers, both offer shows and nightlife.
Sunday: Brunch Like Grown Men
Yes, brunch. Yes, it’s elite.
If you want upscale:
Hole-in-the-wall legendary:
Balanced and incredible:
Order the meat waffle at Hazel’s. Don’t ask questions.
Sunday Afternoon: Pack Up, Hydrate, Marry Someone
Minneapolis gives you:
- City energy
- Wilderness access
- Sports
- Comedy
- Casinos
- Lakes
- And whatever level of chaos your group prefers
Build your weekend intentionally. Mix adrenaline with downtime. Lead up to something memorable.
And maybe don’t schedule the wedding for the next morning.
